I have been on the search for a 4x4 for the winter and for playing in the desert. Also, something smaller and more nimble than our Burb. One vehicle I have always liked is the 2-door Tahoes.

Found this one:

White/tan
180k miles (freeway commuter miles)
Tow hitch
Everything works
Zero mods

Asking price $6500.

Any thoughts on the miles, price, etc on this one? Also, things to look for on the 99 models.

Zero mods? Looks like it's been lifted. For that many miles and the fact it's 2 door and 12 years old, $6500 seems a little steep, imo. I think you could find a better deal. Looks like a nice truck, though.

yeah sure looks like a lift to me. Suspension not body as the bumper still looks correct.

Yeah the more I talk with him, he's not too knowledgeable about it. I agree, from the pics it looks lifted.

I'll definitely talk the price down if I do go fwd.

In the last month there have been 2 door Hoes in my area in very similar condition and miles up for sale for about 3500 so that price needs to be about half what he's asking for it IMO. I like what you're thinking here though :)

TBO it was one of my favorite driving trucks to date, short wheelbase is awesome.

Haha wow half the price. Another 93 167k miler for $7k and a 99 100k miler for $9k. Maybe I need to expand the search out of the LA area. $3-4k would be a killer price for a clean one!

So, stock, they are very capable offroaders?
