One of the latest gadgets that we've got for Tahoe/Yukon is Range Technology® programmer that allows you to adjust the Active fuel management system on 5.3L engines.

There are 2 options:
1. Range Technology® RA002 - Active Fuel Management Plus Device

This system improves the fuel economy and allows you to spend more time in 4 cylinder mode, by slight optimization of the system algorithm.

It will not disable the V8, so the full power will kick in whenever it's needed.
As per the manufacturer this little device will allow you to get few MPG extra.

Designed to provide improved fuel economy
Ensures money savings
Operates under unfavorable weather conditions
Ensures easy installation

2. Range Technology® RA003 - Active Fuel Management Disabler Device

This controller is designed for those who wants to get solid V8 power all the time and use the full potential of the engine. In other words, it will disable the AFM and your engine will not be switching to the V4 mode.

Keeps your vehicle in 8 cylinder mode 100% the whole time
Disables 4 cylinder mode on all GM AFM vehicles
Does not require the factory ECU reprogramming
Prevents the AFM system from dropping cylinders
Operates under unfavorable weather conditions
Ensures easy installation

Both gadgets are active as long as plugged in to your OBD port. When they are disabled - your engine operates in the stock mode.

You can find more information in our FAQ section on the website:

How do you like the stock AFM and which one of these chips would you choose:

1 - Active Fuel Management Plus Device (more economy)

or

2 - Active Fuel Management Disabler (Full V8 power all the time)

So the RA002 does not work on the 6.2 litre in the Denali?

Agreed here. Option #2 for a '15 Denali.

It wasn't tested yet with the 2016 model but it's listed as an option for 2015 Yukon Denali
