Ac blowing out windshield vents only

    When I move my selector switch to front dash vent it doesn't work..is it a fuse? It's a 2000 GMC Yukon

    Most likely it's the mode door actuator.

    id give the rest a shot first, if that fails then its time to figure out what actuator went bad.

    iirc the selector actuator is the easy one to get to, d/s up and in front of the console area.

    this vid shows where they all are, some are real pita, dash cover has to come off duct work needs to be cut apart, but over all not the worst looking job out there.

    Thanks to this thread I fixed mine last night, I replaced the mode actuator. You can access it from under the dash.

    You will need to remove the foot vent, it is held on by one xmas tree clip.

    You will also need a 7/32 u joint socket (not a 7/32 on a u joint drive, but an actual 7/32 u joint socket)

    an extension

    1/4in drive ratchet.

    It is an absolute pita. But it fixed my a/c.
