99 Tahoe Tune up

Greetings,

I cant remember the last time I had my plugs replaced on my Tahoe. I'll probably do that this spring when it warms up, ( I don't have a heated garage to get it done)

I was wondering what other things I should do for a good tune up. I will probably throw a can of SeaFoam in my tank, I don't do a lot of highway so I'm sure there is some gunk in there.

So here are my thoughts:

Plugs - any suggestions?
SeaFoam
Check transmission fluid/ flush transmission fluid
Fuel filter - any suggestions?

Anything missing?

Dont forget Cap and rotor assemblies, plug wires, air filter, and lube undercarriage especially if in bad terrain. As far as plugs, I am running the E3's on both my 1995 Burban and 99 Yukon with no problems and awesome performance. Check em out!

rotor
oil
oil filter
pcv valve
fuel filter
air filter clean out

They are picky. But from what I seen people have used NGK and E3s without problems.

Ditto. And grease the chassis.

Alright good, because I wanted to put in E3's on my next tune-up.

I have always used AC Delco plugs on my chevy's and NGK's on hondas. What are you guys seeing about these E3 plugs that you like. I have read on some forums that people didn't notice any difference.

I have been told by 2 seperate dealerships to ONLY run the AC plugs... I tried the bosch platinum plugs many years ago, it ran like crap, my brother in law had a 98' Z71, ran the same platinums, ran like crap and would not pass smog. He put in the AC plugs, passed great, no other changes... Something about the vortec that didn't like those plugs... I would recommend what GM used originally based on my experiance...

I agree the stock engine I would stick with the ac delco plugs. On my s/c tahoe I run NGK TR6's but change them out every 10K miles.

I have heard 96 and up should stay with AC delco. The vortech engines run better with them and you wont see difference on the more expensive plugs.
