I have a 1996 4x4 2Dr that had a cracked tranny case. I found a 97 4L60E that I swapped in. I now have a check engine light and a very hard 1-2 shift which I understand if the trouble mode for the trans.
I found this:
"what must be watched on a 1997 unit is the 3-2 solenoid. The ohm rating was changed from 1996.
the 1997 solenoid 3-2 will be a white plastic. earlier solenoids have a metal stem or a gray - black plastic."
I was thinking of swapping the 3-2 solenoid and the harness if need be to solve the issue.
What do you guys think?
