Why am I not getting ground to my 7 way trailer plug I can touch tester to frame an get ground. My dad plunged in a winch with the hot an ground reversed would that have messed it up. still have hot with tester to frame

Are you sure that you don't have ground at the 7-blade? Plugging something in backwards there would blow a fuse, I would think. Checked the fuses under the hood?

The 12v should be either that or #4, depending on how the winch was wired. Those are the two heavy conductors in the 7-blade. The others wouldn't power a winch, and they're essentially switched with the lights and fused a lot lighter.
