What rear springs will give me an actual 5" rear drop? I just did a McGaughy's 4/5 on my girlfriends 07 Tahoe and the rear still needs to come down roughly 1.5" to sit where I would like it. The front is perfect. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Jon

The springs need to settle for about a week or so...also, if your sitting on your bump stops, that will prevent it from going any lower...also, if your shocks are fully compressed, they will hold your truck up as well too

Bump stops are removed and the shocks are fine. I understand they need to settle but I doubt it's going to be low enough after that....

honestly, I've had mine for around 7 months...they have dropped a lot since I first installed them...daily driving, heavy loads, etc....it all helps to settle the springs...and although people say they settle within the first few weeks...they continue to settle months down the road...at least mine did...

I guess i will see what happens. I still have a few things I need to do to it for it to be 100% complete so it wont be a big deal at all if I have to change the springs later

Yeah, I have the mcgaughy 3/5 and can tell that the rear is still a bit higher... I can only imagine how big of a difference a 4/5 would look. What's in the DJM rear kit, or can the springs just be swapped out?

The djm rear kit comes with
5 inch springs
shock extenders
trailing arm brackets
swaybar brackets

you can just get the rear spring if needed also.

I wish there was a money back guarantee from these companies. DJM vs. McGaughys

Give a full price safety deposit for the springs, and try them out..if they dont settle as low as your prior springs (the competitors springs)..you get your money back...if they DO settle lower then the other springs, the company keeps your full price deposit

What is the price on the DJM 5" rear springs? Also, did you guys ever figure out if any of those springs from Summit would net a 6" rear drop. I am going to have to get the rear down to match the front and to make that happen it might need a 6" rear drop.

8-500 for the big drop you will need to weld the spring onto the lower perch which is just spot welding it in a few places and its done.

How is the ride with those springs? If they are a little soft or stiff I can revalve my Fox shocks to help the ride. This is my chicks whip so I have to make it ride pretty good so I don't have to listen to her *****. Also can I run the McGaughys helper bags with those springs?

Thanks for all the help
