5.7 vortec sputtering at 2200rpm

like the title said. My 98 Tahoe has been sputtering at 2200rpm since I bought it a few months ago.

I initially thought it was faulty plug, wire, or dist cap. Fixed all 3 and it still sputters.

Any ideas? It's a mild sputter.

A few questions. Does it do it at 2200 RPMS in 1st gear, second gear, and nuetral etc ??? If so, it definitely sounds like a TPS (throttle position sensor).
