5.3 going into a 2000(obs) Tahoe Limited

Hey I haven't been on this site in a while but I sold my old limited, bought another one a few years later and I am in the process of swapping my old 5.7 to a "slightly" built 5.3 vortec. I reworked the wiring harness to make it a stand alone one and rebuilt a junkyard 4.8 into a 5.3 in my living room...yes in my living room. I will attach a link so that you can hear it running (on the patio lol). But I will be sure to post more pictures ASAP.

Lol yea they weren't too fond of it when I first started it up but I did give them fair warning when I planned on cranking it up. They were more caught off guard by the fact that it was in my living room lol

New thread title... single life, happy life.. good job.. BTR is the way to go when doing an engine on your own. I have the same timing gear in my 6.0. It's not hard If you willing to put in work and read. It's all out there.

Looking good. Nice engine stand. I have the same shock boots and my oil pressure is the same as your from cold start to warm up. Makes me want to build up my old 5.3 in the garage.
