Has any one successfully removed the 3rd row? What does it look like once removed?

I just want more storage area I have 2 KIDS and one on the way. Plus one is disabled and uses a wheel chair. Stupid that gm made them a Permanent fixture. Maybe I'll try and remove them and see how it looks.

removal is an easy process. If i remember correctly its 6 bolts and and a couple wires. It took like 20 minutes

Folding the seat is not enough? Is the regular vs XL different?

it shrinks the height of the cargo area pretty substantial. So I have no need for it. I'd rather have the extra space.

I am going to do this as soon as my Weathertech Liner Comes in. There is another thread on this on the Tahoe forums.

Yes, they are different. The short version floor sits a lot higher compared to the Burb/XL. I didn't realize this until I was in a 16 yukon rental a few weeks ago.

Here is what it will look like. My SSV had the 3rd row deleted from the factory.
