Ive been lowered 3/5 for a year now, and ive got the bug to go back lifted. Spent the last week or so trying to figure out exactly what setup I want to go with and ive got an idea that looks sick, but not sure its feasible... I found a coupe pics online of one nbs hoe and one nbs burb, both on 37's and fell in love instantly. Neither one was body lifted and the burb was particularly awesome

What im thinking: 6" full drop lift with ford keys turned up a little, 37's on my current 24x10 helos, 4.88 gears
My concern: this is a VERY big and heavy combo, will it absolutely destroy my front end and make the truck dangerous? Im sure I already know the answer but I want some input before I nix the idea. I know a SAS would be better but I dont want full off road status

You can dd on a sas. Just get a Dana 44 in 6 lug and it should be beefy enough for dd. IMO I don't think the 24s would look too well but he'll you already got em

There's that issue too. Idk if they would either, but im not opposed to buying new rims too. I know its gonna be expensive either way, but I dont wanna do this 3 times to get it right.

Im still looking into whats involved with going sfa, I just dont think its a project I can take on myself

35's will wear out IFS you can do it but I wouldn't go above a 20"-22" wheel . The upper ball joints will more then likely wear out within a year. Lowers soon after.

I ran 20" rims with 37X13.50R20's on my 2001 F-150. All day and wheeled it off road and it was IFS also. image.jpg

So pretty much what I already figured... 37's SFA or just stick to 35's on a 6" IFS kit

Read alot of good things on the pro comp 6" kit, are the adjustable mx6 shocks worth the extra coin?

For a sas you gotta cut off all the ifs crap, weld the brackets for the leaf springs, gotta weld hoops for the shocks. Lots more little things but that sums a lot of it up

37" tires are massive for a DD. Not to mention the amount of rotational mass that you'll have to get rolling and to stop!

A solid axle is a pretty big commitment. Remember you cannot go back to IFS to easily if you ever wanted to go with the lowered look again. If you plan on staying lifted, a Dana 44 6 lug with a nice set of Fox Racing, Sway-a-way, King, Walker Evan coilovers. Don't get any of that FagTech or Pro Crap stuff. Get high quality parts that will outlast your Tahoe!

You'll also have to get some links made. Preferably DOM with Johnny Joints to keep down on road vibration and have maximum strength. Your best option is to set up a nice 3 link with panhard bar. You'll also have to convert over to a steering box, not a steering rack. So, you'll need to find a steering box that can handle a 35" tire. You could do hydro assist, but it may not be street legal where you live.
