I’m based in Dallas and I’ve spoken with friendly Chevrolet and they do add on $2,000 in dealership packages. Just another thing you have to negotiate.

On the flip side, they did offer me $12k off of a premier that has been in stock for a while.

Ultimately I’m going to end up custom ordering something. If it’s a Tahoe, it will be from Huffines. They do not do any dealer adds on. If it’s a GMC, it will be from Sewell
The next question might be, take Friendly with $5300 off. btw there is one in transit identical to our order, with a discount (so not just ones sitting are discounted), which makes me at times wonder, why wait? But this doesn't exist in our market, they are almost always with 24" rims or optional 22's.

If Friendly has already shown their hand and can offer $5300 off, can they do that on a custom order, or will they say, no, we cannot, just on the lot and in transit. I think that if we didn't order, I would look for an in transit vehicle and purchase it that way, and ask for no add ons. But reddit says custom orders avoid add ons. Is this always true? imho, only someone who has done this multiple times will really know. I found another forum that completely spelled out the order process, and yes, GM does have the customer's name on the order. So it's not all totally dealer and GM like a Japanese car "order," even though I think customer has little power to affect anything in the process. They can only wait patiently.

At this point, it would have to be a great deal to not wait for the 2026’s. Order banks open in July with delivers September/October.

if the exact vehicle I wanted came on their lot and they made a stupid deal on it, I would most likely pull the trigger. Otherwise it’s worth waiting a few extra months to get exactly what I want.

If you are not pressed to buy a truck now it always pays to wait.

Dealership I purchased from is doing 4-5.5K off their Yukons, that includes diesels. From what I saw online they mostly stock Denali, Denali Ultimate, and AT4 Ultimate - though they did have a few Elevations.

They did everything remotely (they were about 10hrs from me), no mandatory add-ons, and delivered it quickly. Only requirement is you have to pay cash or use GM Financial if you are purchasing from out-of-state, but you can refinance immediately.

Anyone heard of any upcoming changes? Order books are supposed to open soon and I’m not seeing anything published

I’m still laughing about all the FB group posts that went on about how the 2025’s were a full out redesign/new generation and these people had “spouses” who worked for GM. Wonder what the new generation will look like for 2026!

I wonder if new option is worth adding super cruise in 2026?

(UKL) Super Cruise now includes Hands-on Lane Centering Assist (HoLCA)

Was really hoping they would allow the z71 to option the power retractable steps.

Sucks you can spend 70k+ and still have to spend 2k more for an aftermarket solution

Opinion needed:
Tech or diesel?

For the z71, you can not get the diesel with the tech package (digital rear view and HUD).

I am trying to decide if it’s better to have the tech with the 5.3 OR no tech with the diesel.

(Which is dumb considering my Sierra has diesel with tech, but here we are)

Just went through this same decision on a 2025 Z71. Ultimately I settled on the 5.3 + tech. I haven’t regretted it yet. Of course the mpg would be significantly better, but where I live the typical per gallon price difference is between 0.50 and 0.60 cents so it helps offset the lower fuel efficiency.

I’m loving the Z71 with the tech package, plus air suspension and mag ride. Another big factor was the sliding center console, we had it on our 2023 High Country and it was a game changer for road trips with the two kids in the back. Gave me and the wife a little extra room up front to store snacks, drinks, etc.

We just drove 160 miles over a mountain pass (overall gained 4,000 ft), loaded up to the max, plus bikes on the hitch rack. Upon arrival I was at 17.7 mpg. I’m betting when we go back home we’ll be in the 19-20 range. Bottom line the 5.3 is pretty good as long as you know what you’re getting while giving up the mpg.

If I am reading that 2026 Order Guide correctly it appears more deletions then additions?

Also interesting that they have dumped three of the chrome wheel options as customer demand is darker wheel packages now.

Dark Essentials Package finally has no constraints and will actually be available.

As a 25 owner nothing there to be jealous of that I can see.

I think youre interpreting it correctly.

If there was a screaming deal on a Tahoe (that was someones ideal build), it seems it would make sense to purchase now unless you need to have a 2026 for some reason.

Has it been confirmed that the 2026 Z71 Tahoe will definitely not have SuperCruise?

Based on the GM Fleet order for 2026, it does not mention adding SuperCruise as available for the Z71.

We wont know for sure until 2026 order banks open up but right now its not looking like it
