2025 Tahoe / Yukon Illuminated Door Sills

Does anyone know which BCM harness or harnesses the two wires (purple and yellow) plug into on the 2025 models?

I went to the stealership and asked if they were able to provide installation schematics. They were not helpful. Service Advisor told me that it's proprietary information and that they couldn't give it out. Told me to look it up on the internet. I informed him others were able to get the info from their dealership on prior models. Also informed him I've already installed the sills, except connecting the two wires. He just brushed me off and told me it would cost $220 per hour to have them install them. Kind of frustrated especially when you are loyal customer. Parts Dept couldn't help me either. Told me they didn't have access to that type of info.

I would speak with the owner-principal or manager at your dealership and explain how you as a loyal longtime customer was basically brushed aside with your simple request and if you get no helpful response after explaining your position I would immediately go find another friendlier dealership to care for my business dealings.

I am sure you can find the GM instruction sheet online or someone has a video showing how to do it. I installed mine last year and it was easy.

I would be embarrassed to have to tell a customer that we are charging $220 an hour for service. Wow.

It depends where you are in the country, some areas are higher. Even small shops are $150 an hour. Everything has gone up. If you buy the part from the dealer then there is no reason for them to not print off the installation instructions. It is available in SI, Service Information.

On the Chevrolet accessories website, SOME installation instructions are available as a .pdf file for the accessory installation.

I checked the illuminated door sills and the instructions are not shown as a separate file.

When I bought a set of front GM accessories splash guards for my 2024 Tahoe, it came with a one page sheet stating to obtain the installation directions from the GM computer or from the dealer. The instruction's were two pages.

It was clear GM works hard to irritate and frustrate their customers that buy their genuine products.

Although I ended up having the dealer install the illuminated door sill plates in my 2023 Tahoe, I have a PDF copy of the installation instructions. Happy to share if helpful (but maybe something is different for 2025)?

I got a deal on mine from the inter web. Then I was at my dealer the next week due service and asked when I inquired about the install. $160 which would include programming if needed. Two days later and all done. Pretty slick. Later, I did the front glow tie myself.
