2022's Heated steering wheel

Has anyone heard when dealers or GM is going to be installing the heated steering wheel into vehicles which were "promised" one to be installed later on?

I picked up my 2022 Z71 back in Feb, and the fall is coming quick. So just wondering at this point.

No word on heated steering wheel retrofit, but at least they have started the heated/ventilated seat retrofit...

At pickup my dealer told me Q3 for seats and steering wheels, Q4 for parking sensors. Also told me those dates have changed twice. Lol

After they go thru the storage lots and start tearing apart all those units which they can't use for new sales anymore, will be the parts used for retrofits. So maybe by the end of 2024 with the way GM has been going lately

Hmmm. I wonder if we can find a replacement on Rock Auto. Would hate to spend money on something that's already paid for though. I'll just hang tight for a while, I suppose.

I will GLADLY take one of those un-saleable units off of their hands, for the purpose of disposal, of course.

Last GM communication over the weekend stated that Heated Steering wheel retrofits are now planned for 23Q1.

Makes my hands sweaty after too long. I think heated seats are much nicer if you had to choose.

As a cold climate dweller...I can honestly say; I prefer the heated steering wheel to the seats; if I had to give up one...I would keep the wheel and punt the seat. But, I got lucky and got both.

I'm just southeast of you. I have leather, but heated seats are nice with cloth too.

I know it's being treated similarly to a recall and GM will "notify us", but wondering if anyone has been notified yet. My hands are cold....

MY SLT was produced last December - picked up early January and was initially told this fall.... Just was in for oil change and told maybe February and GM would be sending letters out to owners when their chips were available.....

My gmauthority.com daily email today had a notice that the heated steering wheel chips were now being allocated to the '22 Chevy Silverado's.... Same chip as the Yukon so I would hope very soon for all of us!!!

I got an email from GM today about the delay. No fix yet, but consolation prize of 6mo OnStar and 12k GM points. At least they know who I am, I suppose.

Well, that's a somewhat decent compensation, 12,500 points is about $125 worth of parts/service, and 6 months of OnStar is another $100 or so...

It's been 14 months, but I finally got my heated steering wheel retrofit installed. Here's hoping y'all get your heated steering wheel soon too!
