2022 speed limit blank

I've got a 2022 Yukon and the speed limit on the HUD has always been blank. I have the full onstar and data package enabled and it doesn't work. What am I missing?

Have you tried to center the display? Or gone through the menu for the display options

Has anyone figured out how to fix the missing speed limit number in the HUD and instrument cluster on a 2022 Yukon? I am having the same issue. It just shows a white speed limit sign with no numbers. Thanks.

Had same thing occur on my 2022 highcountry. I found this in the owners manual - "Speed Sign : Shows sign information, which comes from a roadway database in the onboard navigation system, if equipped. The sign will show “− −” when offline maps are unavailable". If you go into Google Maps...settings...you should see something on downloading offline maps. After this mine showed backup. Interesting side note...if you have multiple profiles (like husband/wife) you will have to download the offline maps for each profile.

I called onstar and was transferred to tech support. Tech support said I needed to be transferred to GM and then onstar hung up on me. Then like 3 days later it started working on its own. Most of the time.

Agreed but you have to make your 80k admission worth it

Same issue here. I did not give Google permissions for my location. I use Apple CarPlay. I have been wondering if that may be the cause of the issue.

Just picked up my Tahoe yesterday and the speed limit is blank. My trial of Onstar is active, but not sure what else I need to do to get it to work.

I dont know if I am doing anything different, but mine works all the time in my 22 high country. I dont have onstar, I do have the vehicle wifi and my phone is always connected through android auto.

Is there a club or union we must join for there to be a number inside the speed limit sign? If we don't want to join can we shut the empty speed sign off?? How many other features are we not privvy to when we elect not to pay the ransom?

Have you signed into a Google account via the screen on the dash? that fixed it for me.

I have got the same issue for my Yukon 2022 in Dubai, If any one can help I would be very great full. I have tied all options including giving the offline map downloaded permission. But no luck.

How do you download offline maps? My speed limit sign is blank and I'm signed into Google and have the OnStar trial.

@Dewally that worked for me too. Been fine all week since I logged in with my Google account. And fwiw, I did create a new Gmail account just for the truck. Wanted my privacy for "my" stuff, but didn't mind creating a dummy account for the truck.

For those that don't want to do that, there's always the mystery credit card slot to the left of the steering wheel. Give it a shot.

Mine was doing the same. I wasn't paying attention to it today when I dropped my son at school but will take a look next time I am in the vehicle. I only have 1200 miles on the truck and the first few drives it did not work but then started working after I made an appointment with GM service. I attributed it to the software "learning" during the first few drives. But then it started only working intermittently. Not sure what the deal is, I am logged into my google account as well and have downloaded the offline maps and it still isn't consistent.
