Yeah it looks a lot cleaner with the dated stock side trim off, but it needs something.

I can't come up with any reasons why it wouldn't work. There's no real vertical curvature to speak of over the ~3" width of the trim. Any horizontal curves wouldn't matter since it'll easily flex. I say go for it.

I'd be more worried about the length. Get a measurement of each front/back door and see if you can have someone who has a 15+ measure their side moldings for ya
