I have a 2013 Tahoe ls that came stock with the basic radio and I bought the touch screen one on Facebook marketplace and it’s missing three connectors and is theft locked. Am I just an idiot for not researching this and it has no chance of working or will this technically work somehow, or should I sell it and buy a CarPlay unit?

Pics of the truck, please.

Regarding an aftermarket radio, call the folks at Crutchfield, tell them what you want and your budget, and they will tell you what radios meet your requirements, along with an interconnection module that doesn't require any wire cutting and soldering, AND will preserve all of your steering wheel controls.

Need to get it unlocked.

No USB connector on the new unit?

Not sure about the extra connectors, they could be for rear entertainment or something you don't have/need..

Yeah I researched getting it unlocked but I’m worried about there not being a usb connector because I believe that micro usb plug in the second picture connects the screen to the usb a in my center console so I’m just not gonna do it because I’m getting a new car in February of next year so might as well use what I got

07-11 used a Navi system based off DVD.

12-14 use a Navi High Density Drive (HDD). They’re pricey, even 2nd hand.

A car play unit is not priced too bad but the additional modules required to integrate it all add up.

It appears as though you purchased a DVD based Navi. I’m not sure if it’s compatible once it’s unlocked.

Contact these guys to see what’s compatible and do not show you’re put off by their pricing or they’ll likely not answer your questions.

Check out this video too …

This is a software tool that can be resold, unlock any type of factory radio / Navi, unlimited times, plus too much to list …
