2013 suburban front end humming

I have a humming that starts around 40 mph and gets louder with speed. Not engine related as the sound remains when I take my foot off of the accelerator. Noise temporarily goes away in a right turn but returns when I straighten the wheel. Dealer suspects Wheel bearings and they aren't under warranty at 50k miles. Does this sound like the right problem and is it true tat Wheel bearings wouldn't be covered under 3 years old?

Sounds like a bearing when it goes away when turned. They are easy to replace if you have some basic mechanical knowledge.

Thanks, unfortunately I don't have that aptitude. Dealer says Wheel bearings $600 and I need new rear brake pads and rotors. 50k sounds like a very short interval for REAR brakes

$600?! Do you know anyone that DOES have the aptitude, and / or tools? Is it 4wd? Do you have a floor jack, a wrench, sockets and hammer? It can be done very easily.
