Hi everybody, thanks in advance for the assistance.
I'd rip my hair out if any was still left trying to figure this out.
My trailer lights were intermittent at best and finally stopped working. Narrowed it down the the yukon side of things. No power coming out of the 7 pin connector.
I removed the trailer side of the 7 pin connector and tested the yukon side, no power.
I checked fuses and all were good.
I cleaned off the ground connection and tightened it back down.
Then I tried connecting the test light to the fresh ground and still nothing.
Can the ground wire that connects to the 7 pin be loose or bad?
Is the ground location, in the rear body mount, not a good location?
Should I clip the wiring and 7 pin pin and install new wiring?
Thanks for the assistance!

Find a good ground with a different 12v source (like the trailer aux power line if it's connected) before you condemn the existing ground.

Are you testing the running light circuit?

I have tried the ground with a different source and still no power. would it only ground within the frame or just by touching the ground screw?

Which circuit are you working on?

Do any of the other lights, like turn signals, brake lights, work?

Can't tell about the ground screw, but if it's not insulated it should provide a ground.

These have separate fuses for the trailer connector circuits; are you certain that those fuses are good? You've tested the voltage on both sides of each fuse?

If your "different source" has power and, by definition, you found a good ground to verify that, then use that good ground for the trailer connector.

Or temporarily wire from the good ground to the trailer ground as a test. But don't leave it that way. If it works, make it permanent.

No power to any of the lights on the 7 pin. Yes the fuses have power on both sides, checked it multiple times. So i know it’s between the bumper and the fuse box at some point and I’m thinking the ground is bad at the plug. I ordered a new plug with a pig tail and I’ll try replacing that section of wiring.
