Ill send them tonight. The wiring isnt what the issue is, its getting the plugs thats the issue. All the same wires are there. I know theres one other place that makes harnesses and sells the 2012 unit complete, and they want $2500 for it. Gregs price is a steal compared to that.

As far as getting this newer unit from Greg, I'm thinking that I'm finally going to break down and do so. I do have a side question though. What to do with my current radio? I've heard of people selling them, but where? For roughly how much?? I'm trying to get everything in order to purchase the new one and it would help if could get something back on the old one too, yano. Thanks!!

So I started a thread about how to get a dealer to program my used radio. It was closed down with the comments that discussion of the necessary harness is in this thread. The thing is, my question has nothing to do with the harness. I am in need of information to convince the dealer that programming the radio is possible and how to prompt them to do it. Can anyone help?

Are you sure a dealer can?

I know, for example, my old silverado (2006) got a new SS cluster. Dealer couldn't program it. Not that they didn't try, they just couldn't get it to accept. Anyhow, third party shop programmed it for me with some program they had.

Not entirely sure a dealer can program a 2012 radio for a 2007 truck. But I do know there are third party shops put there that will.

Did you read the original post? Why don't you contact Greg at CPS audio and see what he can do for you? It sounds like with the harness he makes it will be plug and play.

That's kinda what I was wondering. Guy knows how to do it, can do it for cheap.

^^^truth. Sounds likes he's pretty much the only guy that knows how to get this done.

There's a few guys that can do it, Greg in Cali, some guy in CT and another one in upstate NY. Search for it on eBay for nav unlock and you will see the results. I sent mine to the guy in ny just because he was closer, will report back with results.
FYI - the dealer was not able to do it

In speaking with Greg, there really are not many people who can make this work. Dealers will have no clue, that's certain. If your guy can make it work, that's awesome. You'll have to post his info so that others can get it done there as well. If not, we know Greg can do it, he does it quickly, so use him.

I advertise for him all the time, not because I get anything from it, but because he offers a good product, good service, and I enjoyed my buying experience from him

I'd have to agree with everything fiatdale is posting re: Greg at CPS. I'm a new Tahoe owner. Based on this thread, I contacted Greg. It's true, you have to catch him when he's in the shop, but when you do, he's very knowledgeable and happy to share his expertise. My HDD (non bose) unit is on order. For me the allure is having CPS as a one stop shop. HDD & harness, amp & harness for non bose, programmed ready to go, plus the ability to rely on his help, if needed.

+1 for recommendation for Greg at CPS.

I just ordered mine from Greg as well. Spike to him on Tuesday over the phone and he answered every question I had and was really VERY knowledgable. He sent the invoice through PayPal and I paid it. He texted me shortly after letting me know it would be in the mail tomorrow. Very excited about getting the new unit and my 07 how will be ready to go.

So I'm 99% there...I've installed everything. XM radio, USB, and Bluetooth all work, but I can't get AM/FM signal at all...what did I miss? I've looked at all of the connections and it seems that I'm all good to go. Anyone?
