If the A pillars have tweeters it'll have the Bose equipment.

Sorry, but tweeters in the "A" pillar do NOT mean it has a Bose system. I have them and I do NOT have a Bose system. There are systems with factory NAV that are not Bose but few and far between. If you can get the VIN I can verify for you.

Ive decided it doesnt have the factory bose system but I was wondering if I were to add subs which I plan on doing would I even know the difference? Because this tahoe im looking at is perfect except it doesnt have Bose so Im wondering if its that big of a difference?

Bose Blows. Honestly, they aren't THAT bad, they just aren't as good as the last generation Tahoe's were. Aftermarket audio will sound MUCH better than Bose.

Are you saying I should get one without bose and save the money and just get aftermarket everything or do you think subs would even it out and make it sound good?

Bose is better than the regular factory gear, but an aftermarket upgrade is far superior than Bose.

It really doesn't make a difference if it has Bose or not, because if you are looking for GOOD sound you're going to need to go aftermarket anyway.

I -do- have bose but I added an aftermarket nav screen (avic z110bt) and a jl audio 250/1 amp for 1 Kicker Solo Baric L7 10" sub. It is also still hooked up to the bose factory amp pushing a 6" bose sub, the two bose tweeters, and 4 6.5" bose speakers. It sounds great IMO. Next two steps is getting 4, 6.5" Focals and a dedicated JL 300/4 amp for the mids/highs.

I miss the days of having a system in my ride :whymewhyme: Since getting married and having kids who sit in the back seat I don't get to have a system in my ride any more :( Maybe in a few years when they're older but who knows.

But wait

Would just adding subs be fine or would you recommend upgrading all speakers?

To me adding a sub is just fine. But then again I have an aftermarket HU.
I'm not exactly an Audio guy but I like good sound, the main problem with the Tahoe sound system is the stock speakers suck and then upon that they would try and push bass out that made it sound ******.
So a sub will fix that part if the issue, but upgrading speakers will def. make the sound a good amount better even if they are not amplifed by an externl amp.

For guys like me that don't add any aftermarket stereo stuff the Bose system is a must have and is better then the regular systems.

Nice ride. I love those running boards. Good deal on the Bose. Add a sub and you have a real decent all around sound system. My Yukon has the Bose and I really can't complain.

That's why I got a custom down firing box for my 2nd row captain's chairs! Amp mounted below the seat. No one even knows I have a system until I turn it on haha.
