I'm 16 and I've done the door panel many times. It's not so bad.
First, pry up the window switch panel and unplug the harness.
Then there are 2 covers on the panel you need to remove with a flat-head screw driver. One is located behind the inside door handle, it's a little hard to get to. The other one is behind the door pull, where you wrap your hand around to pull the door shut. In total there are 3 bolts.

After that, you unhook the door latch cable, some people use needle-nose pliers to do this.
Then the door panel will be completely free and you can set it aside.
