Low refrigerant is the most common cause. And, one of the most common culprits is the little Schrader valve on the low pressure port used to recharge the system. The proper way to fix is to replace the Schrader valve with a new one, and draw a vacuum on the system for 30-45 minutes with a vacuum pump. Then add the proper amount of refrigerant by weight, according to the sticker on the cowl under the hood. Tools for the job:
  • Postal scale for weighing the refrigerant to get the right amount
  • A/C refrigerant gauge set
  • A/C vacuum pump
  • Tool for replacing the Schrader valve
  • New Schrader valve
  • 3-4 cans of plain R-134a refrigerant (with no lubricants or sealants in it)
There are some excellent YouTube videos on the process. Forget those cans that have the built in gimmick gauge on them. They're useless and you can do damage to your system with them. You need a proper gauge set and to replenish the refrigerant by weight. Fixed my '07 2 years ago this way and haven't had a problem since.

Or, take it to a competent shop who can diagnose the system right in case the leak is actually somewhere else.
