2005 Yukon XL-3rd Row seat storage bag - FINALLY found one!!!

One of the 1st issues that bugged me was having no good storage container for my 3rd row seat.
I was considering a boat canvass shop to fabricate a durable bag.......

I was at an Autozone store, and noticed this box. I glanced at the picture / measurements.
" BAM " !! Heavy duty / water proof / exterior design / 54" x 20" x 21".... $50 bucks!!!

For "insurance", I padded the hardware to avoid stress ( even though, the bag material is quite thick) .

The seat is nearly a perfect fit , just smaller than the bag. Not too difficult to fit the seat inside / ( just a bit awkward )...... The bag opens up pretty wide.

The heavy duty zipper and the firm flap covers the zipper pretty good, having velcro to seal.

That is an awesome idea. Now what do you do to add the second person to help you manhandle that thing? (I ask because of the '05 Suburban).

The bag has well mounted straps to wrap...... I used a pad to "cushion" the floor, as I stand it on it's end.

Sorry to double post... But what we typically do is lay down the center row seats, flat, and leave the third row intact when we travel. Gives leg room to the third row, and gives us flat access to things like a cooler or bags of chips.

That is an awesome idea. Now what do you do to add the second person to help you manhandle that thing? (I ask because of the '05 Suburban).

Believe it or not, the seat is much easier to hold & handle when in the bag ( I was quite surprised!! )

OH! Yeah, we use ours regularly -- one of the reasons we have a Suburban. If we don't need it, we use one of the trucks.

Nice score, that's a solid deal for a heavy duty, waterproof box that size. Beats paying a canvas shop for a custom bag.

Yea…. It is standing inside my down stair / office closet….. for 5 years….. I forget it’s there……. If I open it, it will be brand new.
50 bucks for the bag….. Crazy price for the high quality.
