Hi, so I have a 2005 Tahoe 5.3L V8 4x4 with a bad transmission, and I found a very nice transmission on Marketplace, but just want to make sure it fits. So the used transmission in question was taken from a 2005 GMC Escalade 6.0L V8 4x4. The only thing I see that I'm not sure about is that the Tahoe is a 5.3L and the Escalade is a 6.0L. They're both 4L60E's but I want to make sure that they are the same one. So my question is, would the Escalade transmission fit in my Tahoe? Thank you!

The 5.3s came with a 4L60, I'm not sure if the wiring is different from the 4L65. It might work

Ok and did the 6.0L 2004 Escalade's come with 4l65e or 4l60e? I've been researching since posting this question and it seems that the 05's only come with 4l60e's, but what about 04's?

ah, reading in some places they say you can swap a Tahoe's 4l60e with a 4l65e, but other places say you need to swap some parts on the transmission. I think I'll just continue looking for a 4l60e that I know will work without a hassle.
