2003 Tail Light Plugs Don’t Fit 2004

Hello there Tahoe/ Yukon community. I recently bought some aftermarket tail lights for my 2004 Yukon from CARID, on the site it said they were direct fit, but when I went to install them the plugs were different. Some piece of paper said that the lights fit 2000-2003. Was there a plug style change from 03 to 04? If so, or not, how can I make them fit?

depends on how much plug they provided, if you look under the bottom of the truck where the harness comes up to the tail lights there is a 2nd connector where it pigtails off to the 3 lights in the housing, that plug will be the same 00-06, if they did not provide that section you can order it online pretty cheap.

tail light harness + applicable model/year, just be sure to pick the year you need for the tail lights, for instance if yours is a 2002 and the tail lights are for a 2003 then you need the harness for 2003. the connection under the bumper is the same 00-06 it is just the bulb connectors changed in 2003 so 00-02 will not fit the holes 03-06
you can find them on ebay all day long
some aftermarket tail lights come with that harness so it can be used 00-06 and some do not
you can do the same in reverse, if the tail lights are for a 00-02 and yours is a 03 you can buy the harness for 02 and plug-n-play
