Hey all i'm new to the forum and just recently bought a 2002 Tahoe LT off a guy that took really good care of it. I had a 1997 Tahoe lifted but was side swiped a week prior to getting the 2002.

New 2002 Tahoe LT:

Plans for 2002 Tahoe:
* Would love 6" Lift again but i am going with Keys/Spacers/Bilstein 5100's to start off...
* LED Interior Lights/Gauge/Hvac etc..
* Darker Tint
* 2500 HD Hood
* 18" Addicts (Black) with 285/65 Trail Grapplers - Off my old tahoe (had to buy 1 full wheel..)
* Get rid of all chrome!
* HID with blacked out Projector headlights and blacked out LED Taillights
* HID Fogs
* Double Din conversion (2004 Bezel already have).
* Running boards coming off and putting step bars from old tahoe on
* more to come...

Here was my 1997 Tahoe:

Here it is wrecked (Yes i know i could have fixed it, but wasn't worth the money to put in verse what i paid for the 2002 model, just need door skins, rear qtr panel and front end parts):

(I am parting 1997 Tahoe out... PM me if you are interested in any of the parts)

Here is a cool picture showing 2" spacers and stock keys and the difference....

Then the stock (rusty) keys verse the lift keys...

Thank you! I loved my old hoe but i can only go forward now. Went from a 1995 Lifted Z71 Silverado to a 2002 all in one year without a dime out of my pocket.

I already recieved my spacers last week, it was the cheapest and first thing i ordered actually. I called on ford keys but they want 67 bucks each now a days. The guy at the local ford thought i was crazy for what i was asking for. He said what kind of truck is it. I said Chevy Tahoe. He said this is Ford Dealer. I Said i know where i called. I Want keys for 2000 F150 and here is the part number. LOL but in the end he said he has never had anyone ask for such a thing in all the years he has worked at Ford. I told him that he has now. Now i am looking on ebay for keys.

Its already on the right path. i just did the LED swap for all interior lights and most of the externals. Working on Double Din radio conversion as we speak. Keys and Spacers are in my possesion and will be installed this week so i can fit the black addicts and trail grapplers off my old Hoe on to the new one. Pictures to follow soon as i have finished the projects...

Thanks! I miss the OBS hoe. But i love the new one and all the new options it gives me. It won't have the 4" lift kit like the OBS but it will do for now till i can get the $$ for the new one.

Can't go wrong with that color...:smoke2:

It isn't my favorite but dam does that metallic in the paint set it off! I was more of a black/grey/silver type color guy on all my vehicles but i got this tahoe at such a great deal i changed my opinion fast haha.

have you used those nittos much off road and whats your opinion on em? i've actually got a set of addict's sitting around waiting for my tire choice and its between those and my usual bfg mt's. mine see lots of snow/mud/gravel roads so i need em to do work. are those the -12 offset wheels too?

I love the Trail Grapplers, they are great on or offroad and they are quiet compared to other MT tires. I like them way more then the BFG KO's i had. One thing though is they feel like your floating almost like they have alot of sidewall flex. They are 10 Ply but i had to air them up to 55 out of the max 85 to make them a bit stiffer. If you tow alot then you may want to get the Toyo MT.

I live in TN and i haven't had a spot where i have gotten stuck. My brother lives in MI and is in the dead of winter and has gotten out of alot of situations since he got these Trail Grapplers. They are great tires!

Mine are -12 Offset addicts. I will need fender flares to complete the wheel look. If anyone has any for sale :)

Dude, your tahoe was almost identical to mine except mine is blue and the addicts are black and machined 18x9.
