IMPORTANT* If you have iridium spark plugs make sure they are gaped at .040 for this engine, the correct "platinum" tipped ones are gaped at .060, also did you check to see the condition of the spark plugs either? Those alone tell a nice little story. (SunlitComet showed a GM issued document stating this in another thread.) Also do the injectors have a clean even flow, if they're clogged from deposits that could be large part.
