I think I lucked into a sweety. Here in our neck of the mountains we have an average of over 150" of snowfall. So Salt rots everything. Found this old girl in Virginia, where she'd been garage kept. The grandson hit the interstate and the motor locked up. Dip stick shows good level just dirty. Came with a replacement motor. At $1500.00 I couldn't pass it up.

I asked about bump stops in another section, let me try again. I noticed that the rear bump stop rubber parts are gone. Researching replacement stops turned us a large price range. Being a stock 4wd that won't be overloaded but will be towing, what's a good replacement price point. I'm seeing $30 a pair amazonians to $400 a pair whythehellians?

I've a couple of projects rolling so the Tahoe is last. Did get a start by pulling and cleaning the front carpet. Used the neighbors asphalt drive and a pressure washer. The carpet is back in have to finish putting in the seaya and teim pieces. I'd sure like to find a set of these visors that aren't wreaked. Hopefully I'll get in the pole barn to start checking out the replacement motor. Pull a compression test first.

Got the ac controls rebuilt. Installed the USB adapter, well gota wire it in. I'm confused about the rear bump stops. The Gm diagram shows the rectangular style. Mine has round ones like the 800's. They are 2 3/8" across. The 800's are 2 3/4" so won't fit in the bracket. My 97 pickup has the rectangular style. Thinking I might be a be to carve a bit off of these and make them work.

Wow that carpet came out pretty good. I was thinking of doing a carpet replacement from LMC Truck. Now I am wondering if I could just clean mine.....

Thanks. If you do, definitely let it sit flat in the sun backside up to dry first, then flip it over and let the carpet side dry.

Welcome from rust free Arizona! I think you scored for sure, she is well optioned...my 99 yukon is jelly of the heated seats lol. The 3.42 gear set is interesting for a tow package. I'm not sure what the RPO code is but curious if it has the optional electric pusher fan between the grill and condenser?

Haven't noticed a fan. I'll have to look.

Trying to do a bit as I can, red dash leds installed today. The po of my pickup had them in and I liked them. He also put them in the foot well. I'll be going white for the rest of the interior of the Tahoe as I like to see inside well. I put them in the Sub and dig the brightness. I'll post a picture when the dash is all back together.

I really hate how a double din looks in the dash. Reading reviews on the Metra complete bezel is like reading the reviews of the $80.00 amozonian items. Not a lot of warm fuzzies. It's the backup cam I'm liking. Wish there was a quality wifi rig for my phone but all I see look janky.
