1999 Chevy Tahoe Temperature Display on Mirrow

When I recently replaced the battery on my 1999 Chevy Tahoe, the temperature display went kablooey and now reads 0 or 4 when it is 40 or so degrees outside. Is there a way to reset the display?

Try disconnecting the wire on the back of the mirror. But sounds like the mirror is bad. They are common and cheap to buy used.
