I will likely be ordering a Yukon Denali 3.0l with the Denali Reserve, Advanced Technology, and Premium Capability packages. I am thinking about asking the Dealer to swap in 18” wheels as part of the deal. My objective is to maximize ride quality and add Curb Rash resistance.

I prefer the appearance of a black grille, and my plan was to swap in the Black grille with Chrome surround myself after purchase. The on-line configurator however, increases the net price by only $3270 instead of $5295 when selecting the 25th Anniversary Denali Package which includes the black grille. $3270 is closer to what I expected to spend on the black grille parts.

Questions:

1-Has anyone experience with 18” wheels on the Yukon along with magnetic and air ride control?

2-Has anyone changed out the grille, camera, etc. and have advice?

The limiting factor on wheel size on these trucks is caliper clearance. I don't recall whether GMC offers a stock 18" wheel for these trucks... If they do, then I'm sure you don't have to worry about whether they clear the brakes. But if they don't, then that's where you need to start, design-wise at that size.

Once you get the wheels figured out, then the size of the sidewall (and the tread pattern and brand) of the tires you get is going to have an impact on ride quality. Some folks want a stiffer sidewall, and some don't.

Lots of folks have swapped grills on '21-'24 models. Not sure about '25s though.

According to thecarconnection.com, on a 2025 Yukon Denali Ultimate (4WD), the tire specs are:

Front: 285/40R24
Rear: 285/40R24
Spare: P265/70R17

I would think as long as you don't have the Brembo brakes, you should be able to fit 18s since the spare is a 17. And if the models with Brembo brakes have a 17 inch spare, then 18s should fit that too.
