I know I have seen the solution somewhere but I cannot find it in my searches. To the best of my knowledge these vehicles use retained accessory power system which keeps radio power on for 10 minutes or until the drivers side door is opened. I am looking for a 12V power source that is integrated with the key ignition. I believe I saw somewhere that this is found at the fuse box and not at the radio wiring harness.

There are a couple different places you can get ignition. You're right, there is no ignition at the radio harness. The first place you can get it at is the main ignition harness. There you will find a true ignition and true accessory. If I remember correctly, at the ignition harness, ignition is pink or white and accessory is orange or brown. These are low current wires though, and you should only use them as a trigger for a relay. Also if you have one, make sure you test all these wires with a multimeter before you tap on to them just to make sure you have the right wire.

Also, on the far right side of the dash next to the glove box there is a pop out panel (like the fuse box panel on the drivers side). When you take that off, there are three bundles of brown wires going into a plastic harness. The middle bundle (which has like 5 brown wires in it) is also an accessory. Again though, these are low current wires and only use them as a relay trigger.

Also, make sure you put an inline fuse on the wire you tap directly on to the factory wire. Here is the relay configuration you will use with just a standard SPDT relay.

87- A fused 12v constant wire
87A- Do not use
86- Chassis Ground
85- Trigger (This is the ign harness wire or the brown wire on the passanger side)
30- Output to whatever you need ignition power to
