Good 12v switched source close to alternator?

Just bought a high out put alternator, need a good 12v switched source thats close to the alternator for it. Comes with the bypass so the computer no longer controls the alternator. I am not great with electric wiring, so i figure it would be better to ask and see what others used

probably easiest to just add a fuse tap in the underhood fuse box, if you look under the fuse box lid it shows you all the different things they are for so pick one that is going to have "run" power, you won't need accessory power because there is no need to trigger the alternator if the engine is not running.
looks like #75 is misc engine spare you will want a meter and verifiy it has run power #109 is a upfitter try that one, #77, #78. #28, #29, #37, #44, #47, #48, #63, #70, #72 is upfitter also
