I have the "use while driving" option (2009 denali) and I just keep it on... I never tried to enter a destination while driving or anything like that, but I'll let you know when I get back home (a week)

Haven't tried the DVD while driving part, but the NAV entry works while driving. I believe you can get this on any Yukon/Tahoe/Escalade with the latest nav disc. What version do you have?

Keep in mind that the Escalades use a completely different Nav system and disc versions. Your 2010 Denali may not let you enter an address on that Nav, but a 2010 Escalade will because that's how its specific Nav was programmed.

5.0 truck built last month.. I can't see GM all of a sudden decding to let us "do it" think it's a misunderstanding.

Oops, edited my post while you were typing! You should go test out a 2010 Escalade and see. Maybe some do it while others don't.

The latest Escalade "SuperNav" disc is 8.3, something totally different than the standard Nav's 5.0c.

Also, our 08 Yukon and 07 LTZ Tahoe don't have this option... I'm a little anxious to get home and try it now.

Hers does that, I think, I will try tomorrow. I remember her going on about something like this. The 8.3 disc won't work in the Denali because its a different Nav. If you have 5.0c, then you have the latest available disc. I think the 5.0 is a different (older) disc than 5.0c. Upgrading to the "c" might make a difference.

You go to the page where all the threads are and hit the "new thread" button in the top left corner.

I hope they changed that on the new disks cause it gets annoying sometimes. May be a good reason for me to buy one.

I heard that they do, I might buy one pretty soon to confirm it. I read somewhere else that it also greatly reduces the amount of times you see the warning page where you have to hit "OK" before using the Nav.

But my mom's 07 ESV (I guess one of my older brother's now) had disc 1.0 and it didn't show that message near as much as my 08 Tahoe.

the5.0c shows it only after 50 starts.. so that appears to be longer then my 09 Tahoe already.. I am dying to see if the newest disc for the escalade has this feature? I guess it must but WHY M WHY??? can they make another one for the rest of us.. I highly doubt the pontiac torrent has more advanced nav features than our trucks!

Lmao that's true, I don't understand why some of those cars get better Nav's! My mom's Nav has this, she confirmed this, but it does not show DVD while driving. So the lockpick is still useful to 2010 Escalade owners if they want DVD in motion.

I'm about to drop $75 on a copy of the latest disc so I will definitely be checking out the new features. It's 5.0c though. The dealers informed me that the new upcoming disc might have even more features, such as a grid for the reverse camera.

I have the 5.0c i didn't notice anything except for the warning screen change to 50 starts in between. going to call cadillac tomorrow.

Just got off the phone with the service manager at Gold Coast cadillac (Worlds largest Cadillac dealer) after the sales guy told me i was wrong, 2010 Escalade's do not allow address entry on the move regardless if they're using 8.3 or not. the service manager echoed the same. So i don't know what's up with this guy's nav system but it's not the norm. Man i almost thought we got the shaft.

here you go zach.... no go on the address entry on the move.

That's weird. My mom said it did that, but she could have thought I was talking about something totally different. Haha, wow, well let's hope it comes to us in a future update.
