Hi all, curious if anyone knows if the difference in the window switches from 08 to 09 is merely cosmetic. I got some Escalade Platinum door panels from 2012 and they didn't have the window switches. They are physically a different size for the trim mounting in the panel, but I was curious if they are electrically compatible. It appears from pics on the net that they have the same plugs.

Also, got a cluster from a 2012 Hybrid - I know it doesn't have the coolant temp gauge, but instead a hybrid efficiency or something gauge - any idea if that will function as a coolant gauge in a non-hybrid?

08 & 09 Esky door switches are identical mechanically.

In 2011 GM moved the air bags into the front seats and redesigned the front door cards to a less reliable design. I assume Caddy also changed the front Platinum door cards in 11 too.

The clips, harness and door switch packs are different in 11+. I usually recommend having the complete early door to swap the front door cards over.

Install a hybrid cluster is uncharted territory.

"new" design door panels will be a drop-in replacement, but the switches from 09+ escy probably won't work. The thing is they've added express-up mode to front windows (windows go up with a single click like it was with going down from the very start of gmt900) and the switches won't work without the whole window lift mechanism swap. The windows will to down but won't go up at all — learned about it the hard way.
But you can swap the buttons themselves and everything will be ok. I've installed 2010 escy platinum door panels into my 2008 tahoe and then swapped the switches from a 2007 escy to 2010 trim.

I did the reverse swap in my Tahoe. Put in door panels from a 07-09 into my 12. Switches and wiring are the same. You'll just have to get switch bezels that work with the new door panels.
