so far i have leveled my tahoe, put moto metal rims on, and nitto trail grapplers on, i like it but I'm thinking about lifting it, what lifts are best fit for my set up, looking in the 3-6 in range

If money isn't an option, go with a fabtech 6" suspension lift and 35's. Looks best :imo: just cost about $4-6k

I've got 31s right now and somewhere below 3000, i feel like as long as i don't lift if 6 inches it won't need bigger tires.

I'd go with a procomp 5" lift, and maybe some 35" tires, Rancho Makes a 4.5 but both are good lifts and not cheap.

Lift that baby up 6'' on some 35s! You won't regret it. I have a 6'' procomp suspension on my 02 and the ride is amazing.

lzsmith: Can you tell me more about your current set up? I just picked up my 2012 z-71 tahoe today and I'm trying to figure out this crazy wheel/tire/leveling issue i have to deal with to move to 275/60/20....

this is the 275/60/20 combo with a CCM 2.5/1 leveling kit. Didn't like it on the LTZ, but would be good on a Z

the RCX kit is quite reasonable. but its only a 4" kit cranked to 6". depending on your wheel setup, i wouldn't go bigger than 33's.

a 6" RCX on some 20x12 moto metal 962's in black on 33 12.50 trail graps would be perfect :imo

i spent $5k on the wheels, tires and lift with installation. i got the superlift 6" suspesion lift, cooper STT 35/18/12.5, and the rims. if i could do it again, i would purchase the rancho 4" lift instead. haven't had any problems, but the rancho kit is much beefier than the superlift. good luck!
