08 Tahoe LTZ Leveling Kit

I have a 2008 Tahoe LTZ 4wd with auto ride and have some questions about the leveling kit that I have on it. A few years ago I installed the Rough Country 2 inch leveling kit that bolts on underneath the front shocks and I ran it for about 25,000 miles until I decided I wanted to fit bigger tires. I got the 3 inch front leveling kit from CCM for a little extra clearance and put 295/55/20 trail graps on it. I ran this setup for a few thousand miles before noticing my rear end was sagging and that my auto ride had gone out. I took it to a family friend of ours who's a mechanic at our local chevy dealership and he confirmed that my auto ride had gone out and replaced it. Before having this done I told him that I put a 3 inch coil spacer in the front with nothing in the rear and asked if this is what caused my auto ride to go out. He didn't act like the leveling kit was the problem and insisted that it was just fluke deal that my air shocks went out so early. Since then I have put about 9,000 miles on the install and everything has worked fine. My auto ride is running every time I start my car, but I am wondering if he is correct about this. Even though it is working fine now, I am worried about this leveling kit causing my autoride to wear out faster than it should. I put 1,300 into getting this new auto ride suspension system and would hate for it to wear out early. Since this guy is a family friend I trust him, but I just want to seek some extra confirmation and insight from you guys about this matter. I still have my 2 inch kit which I know is compatible with the auto ride, so I can slap it back on if I need to. Also, what is it about some leveling kits that makes them incompatible with auto ride? Is it because the increased rise in the front tricks the computer into thinking there is an increased load and continuously runs the compressor, or is it something else? I am just wondering if there is a tell tell sign that there is a problem with my setup before my auto ride quits on me? If y'all could please help me out with this I would really appreciate it because I don't know too much about the technical issues with the suspension and leveling kits.
