These appear to be rectangular vs round on the LT/LTZ models. Anyone know if the tolerate a HID upgrade better or worse?

I think better cause they are bigger.

They tolerate them WAY better, no heat issues at all unlike the round ones.
This is what some of the online retailers say and customers, I have not personally tried it.

youll be fine. i have no heat problems. when i installed them i looked to see how much room i had, and it was nearly the amount of the regular bulb.
