07 Water Pump Replacement

Changing the water pump out on my 2007 and there were no gaskets between the block and the old pump - which surprised me. There does seem to be rubber ring gaskets in the water outlets on the right side of the block bit not on the left side?

There are gaskets included with the new one. I was going to use them but then I started second guessing myself - if there are no gaskets on the old on then should I add them on the replacement?

Any one have any experience with this?
