05 AirRide Question -

First time posting on this site..

Just got a 05 Tahoe LS, It has "Airride" suspention. I think thats what its called. Basically it levels the truck via air.

My questions are:
1- How many miles are these shocks good for? assuming I do not pull anything with the Tahoe and travel is on paved roads.
2- Can I replace the shocks with say another type of non air? Say Bilsteins?

Some peoples have only last 50k and some are at 110k and still going strong.

Yes, every 3rd post in the suspension forum is about switching out shocks. I'd do a little searching to find out what fits you, but yes, it can be done easy.

and alot cheaper alternative than replacing factory airride components

Are you sure you have autoride? I dont think autoride was ever offered on an LS. You may have the nivomat shocks. Look in your glovebox for the Z55 code that is the code for autoride.
