I have not seen or heard of hat setup, but most folks here are more knowledgeable and more experienced than me on these trucks.
2002 Tahoe. Mine is Auto 4 WD on the top button. Then 2 WD, then neutral, then 4 HI button and then 4 LO button. Is that what you have? Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

My '02 Tahoe has the following selectable options:
Auto 4wd
2 Hi
4 Hi
4 Lo
It's a nice feature. In slippery conditions I use the Auto 4wd. 4Hi may cause binding of the drivetrain on turns. I use 4 Hi in snow as it is more effective than auto 4wd.
For normal driving I use 2 Hi.
No sir. Top button traction control. Middle button transfer case neutral. Bottom button 4 low2002 Tahoe. Mine is Auto 4 WD on the top button. Then 2 WD, then neutral, then 4 HI button and then 4 LO button. Is that what you have? Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

Now next question. What kind of front diff is it?That's RPO NR4, the Borg Warner 4482 transfer case with 3-button shift controls.

If I was to order axle seals I wound need to go off of the rpo code?Well, it would be the AWD type without the central disconnect. The difference between a 4x4 and AWD front differential is in the right side axle tube and shaft. The center sections are the same.

It's awd. Not sure if it was custom order or not? But there are definitely not to many out there from what I'm gatheringStill wondering if it’s AWD or 4WD. Wonder if that was a custom order?
