I bet the problem is related to that luggage rack in some way. They were not meant to be up in such rarified air. C'mon man!

I just bought most of those things from rockauto...

Part Number Part Type Price EA Core EA Quantity Total
2003 GMC YUKON XL 1500 6.0L V8
MEVOTECH GK6541 Ball Joint $ 10.09 $ 0.00 2 $ 20.18
MEVOTECH GK6658 Control Arm Bushing $ 8.50 $ 0.00 2 $ 17.00
MEVOTECH GK6534 Idler Arm $ 11.59 $ 0.00 1 $ 11.59
MEVOTECH GK6536 Pitman Arm $ 11.53 $ 0.00 1 $ 11.53
MEVOTECH GK6408 Stabilizer Bar Bushing $ 4.31 $ 0.00 1 $ 4.31
MEVOTECH GK6476 Stabilizer Bar Bushing $ 3.98 $ 0.00 1 $ 3.98
Shipping Ground $ 7.18
Order Total $ 75.77

Energy or MOOG would be better, but damn those were cheap.

2 lower ball joints $20
2 sets of LCA bushings $17
pitman and idler arms for $23
Poly sway bar bushings Front and Rear for $8

I totally forgot about their normal 5-10% promo's couldve basically shipped free. CA tax free.

If i bought that stuff at my local monument autoparts I would've probably spent over $200... They wanted $20 for just front sway bar bushings...

the mevotech part numbers are the same for my Tahoe?

Make sure to check the body lift bushing mount areas and the tightness of the bolts.

i know one of the body mounts needs to be replaced
the rubber is almost gone.

i found a set on ebay made by energy suspension but its $200 bucks

I can't imagine any reason why they wouldn't be assuming you have a 1500.

Shipment came in today. Those mevotech bushings are poly, or thermoplastic. Just like the Moog ones that I have on my Jeep. Same color even. and 1/5 the price! Hopefully they perform as well.

On that shopping list i definitely forgot UCA ball joints and UCA bushings...

I got MOOG HD endlinks. Pretty solid. Can't wait to get my sway bar bushings installed.

BTW got new shocks and front sway bar end links installed. MUCH BETTER. Gotta get all the other things done and it will be an entirely new front end.

i am on the rockauto website and there are different size sway bar bushings
such as 28,30,31mm bushings

does anyone know the size i need or are did the 03 tahoes come with varying size sway bars?

i guess i will measure it when i get home if no one knows off hand

I was never able to find a simple answer to that question. I think they vary.

My XL Denali was 31 front/28 rear IIRC.
