    Help diagnosing a popping noise

It did not make this noise before the new parts were installed. Popping noise sounds like a light metallic 'clink'. I think I can feel it in the steering wheel when it happens. Sounds like the noise is originating from something thinner than a control arm, but that's just my speculation When I...

    Help diagnosing a popping noise

2012 LS 2WD 5.3 A few months ago, I replaced lots of front end parts, and had an alignment performed afterwards Replaced - Lower Control Arms (GM) Inner Tie Rods (GM) Outer Tie Rods (MOOG) Sway Bar Bushings (MOOG) Now I hear an occasional popping noise when turning hard at slow speeds...

    Service airbag

Can anyone elaborate a little on the location and procedure involving the replacement of these sensors? Airbag light just came on in my wife's 2012 LS Tahoe. Planning to get it scanned soon

AC Light Blinking 3x, then nothing

I thought maybe a blend door was the culprit, but I couldn't duplicate the issue later Wife tells me the blinking snowflake has stopped now. I'm thinking she started the truck, turned the heat all the way up, selected defrost, and set the fan to max. The truck struggles to warm up like that...

AC Light Blinking 3x, then nothing

Thank you. I can't help but wonder if the coolant temp was just too low for heat / defrost Interesting that the compressor won't kick on if it's too cold. How does the system accomplish blowing dry air on the windshield if it's too cold?

AC Light Blinking 3x, then nothing

2012 Tahoe LS 2WD 98k miles I know this has probably already been discussed before. I did some searching, and it's a lot to go thru, so I figured I'd try my luck with a new thread Wife drove the kid to school this morning in 31 degree F air, and tells me the heater isn't working, her driver's...

    Broken Motor Mounts

Just got my wife's 2012 Tahoe back from the dealer for a trans flush and filter change @ 97k miles. Tech noted that the engine mount is suspect bad. After reading thru this thread, I'd say it's inevitable that the driver's side mount is bad, and quite possibly the passenger side. We bought...

Spark Plug Change - Boots too?

Just wanted to post an update. I swapped the plugs this morning. Removing the passenger wheel and wheel well liner made accessing plug #8 much easier. All in all, not a bad job at all. Thanks for all the helpful tips! Great forum

Spark Plug Change - Boots too?

I apologize if this has already been discussed at length. I tried searching the forum, and couldn't find a clear answer on this question 2012 LS 5.3 2WD 96K Miles The spark plug maintenance interval for my Wife's Tahoe is approaching. In my limited research, I think I understand that the...

    Trans Service Question

The manual for my wife's 2012 LS 2WD 5.3 6speed Tahoe lists 97,500 miles as the first interval for the transmission service. Surprisingly, the dealer is the cheapest in town. I would do this myself, but from what I understand, an exhaust pipe interferes with dropping the pan, and I don't really...

Ball Joints and Sway Bar links

Yeah. They added some dye to the system and advised I bring it back if it stops blowing cool again

Ball Joints and Sway Bar links

Hey again everyone. I just got the Tahoe back from the shop They did an alignment and an AC diagnosis. They found the AC held pressure, but it had just under a pound of freon, so they recharged it. All seems well now I'm not sure how long the ball joints, tie rods, Sway Bar links, and shocks...

Correct. I had to reuse the original bellows

Ball Joints and Sway Bar links

Agreed. I went with GM genuine inner tie rods on both sides for that reason The GM Genuine Outer Tie Rods on Rock Auto were more expensive than the inner tie rods @ $75ea. I thought that was cost prohibitive with the 'daily driver' Moog outer tie rods @ $25ea. They seem to be of high quality...

Service Stabilitrak all of a sudden?

Is this visible by removing the wheel well liner?
