Oh no offense taken the im sure the exclamation points were off putting it was more excitement than anything. Feels nice doing it right the first time and having no issues so far. Where did your leaks end up coming from?
I would believe that. All the research I've done agrees with you. There was some clutch material in the pan when I swapped fluid and filter but I expected that. It shifts really smooth. Some light slippage once in a while but it does the job until I 4l80 swap it. One day.
Does anyone have any ideas what cold air kit would be best for that hood design? That's the next part on my list I'm going to get. I was thinking I should utilize the full square port that hood has to offer and seal it up to it. I just can't seem to find one. K and n is the way I'd prefer but I...
Update***
3kcd installed no issues new fluid filter gasket etc. New tq converter seal (dad mentioned replacing it so I did). No leaks no hiccups. It feels so good to have gas mileage back. While I was down there I went ahead and replaced rear main seal and cover gasket. Made sense because it was...
No pinouts required or harness swaps needed? I don't wanna mess this up cuz I can't handle 2nd gear highway mileage anymore but I don't wanna waste my money haha.
Just a quick question, will a 2kcd 4l60e and a 1kcd interchange? Need more info before I buy this used one. If there's anything specific to making it work what is it?
To note, my 2001 tahoe is 5.3 with 4wd
If I remember correctly 1 = 2001 and k = 4wd?
Any help would be great!!
I have thought about a 6.0 upgrade, but I'm seriously happy with my 5.3 and there's still a ton of aftermarket out there for it. But if I did do the 6.0 swap, I'd put my 5.3 on a stand and build it up for my 71 Pontiac.
**UPDATE**
I did some thinking over the last few weeks on how to put my steps on and I came up with a solution; Frame mounting. I was able to fabricate my brackets and flip them around to face the frame and that took all the struggle out of making them work on the body. And they are stronger...
Oh wow I really like this site! The FAQ section is absolutely amazing! I'm already window shopping a TBSS intake as we speak.... That looks like a perfect addition to my upgrade list, but do you think with the TBSS intake manifold and...
I will have to look into that then. I definitely want them to modify my crossmember, as I don't trust myself THAT much with a welder. Thank you for your input!
I'm honestly thinking of putting a big Ole middle finger to the 4l60e and doing the 4l80e swap and my buddy at work is talking me into it. Junkyard 4l80e with the 1600$ conversion kit from https://transmissioncenter.net/shop/4l60e-to-4l80e-conversion-kit-tahoe-hummer-2-pickup-others/
Would be...
Do you think that cam will rob the low end ? I love my low end I was hoping to maybe even give it more with a cam. If you have a good reccomendation that would be nice. I was just thinking a nice drop in cam to keep the driveability yet still gain some power
It's sitting at about
It's sitting pretty at 190 ish it doesn't jump up at all and it's been over 100 here in Indiana. Very efficient cooler. And for the build quality and fitment and durability, so far it's worth every penny
What was in asterisks? Just curious lol I know from what I've read this forum filter is **** haha. ANYWAYS thanks for the welcome and I will probably take your advice and see if there is a nerf style bracket mount that would fit those bars and would also mount to my factory holes. So far I've...
**UPDATE** JUST put the ko2s on there and oh my word they set this truck off guts I couldn't be happier!!!
^^ there's about an inch or so of wiggle room so the height is perfect. I could have honestly gone wider because there's about 4-6 inches of space at full steer. But I'm extremely happy...
HAHAHA because i still need to go get one. Am lazy sometimes but no harm no foul all it needed was a little burping. And so far I'm 3 jugs of 5050 in and she's still thirsty. I'll get more after work. Once everything is dialed in proper I will give cooling differences. I'm sure adding that oil...
