Here is the post from gm authority. I can’t find the original piece. I have the performance lpo which was a cat back exhaust system with a kn cold air intake

True story: we were on a multi week camping trip from Colorado, to Wyoming to montana up to glacier and back down. I have a 2021 Escalade esv with max towing (important here). In Wyoming we were going to disperse camp in an area called shadow mountain across from the Tetons. Absolutely...
So my Yukon Denali 2021 stranded me 4 times in 4700 miles. Working through the service manager, gm bought it back. I know it’s tempting to dump it and just get out but do the buy back. It takes about 6 weeks
Yea the whole cold air intake and exhaust was a complete waste. It was part of the package for the lot vehicle. I actually asked if they could keep it since they didn’t have the parts yet. They said no. It changed absolutely nothing except now I have exhaust drone at 50 - 60 mph
Appreciate the info. Obviously I’m stoked that it wasn’t an exhaust leak but I’ve never had a cabin filter smell that bad. And I wonder if there is a way to prevent that going forward. According to the air filter gauge it had 50% off life left.
Well I always like to close the loop on problems. The tech smoke tested the exhaust system and found no leaks. They said that the awful smell was a bad cabin air filter. I was a little surprised. They replaced the filter and put bacterium into the system and it does indeed smell a lot better...
Hey local Colorado resident here and members of the failed lifter team. Your lifter issue sounds like mine. No lights or warning. Just the ticking bomb sounds. Try to have your car sent to king gm in Longmont or foundation Chevy in wheat ridge. This is my two cents, I drove around 4 weeks with...
Yes you are correct. No out of pocket. I think my point is the reliability at this point makes me think I won’t even really use the extended warranty. I just don’t feel that the build quality is there.
There is more to the story. I also had a 2021 Yukon Denali that I had to lemon at 4K miles...
I have an Escalade 2021 ESV and I bought the extended warranty through the dealership. I think mine was 7k. I have 32k miles on mine now and I have had the lifter issue, a severed injector harness grounding wire, a faulty rear leg taillight and now I’m about to take it in for an exhaust shell in...
I actually think I have a standard carbon monoxide detector in my house that I could run out to the truck on an extension and see what happens. I’m still hoping for we filled the transfer case with too much gear oil and that smell is it dripping onto the hot exhaust
I'll piggyback. I have had a pretty rough run. I had 2015 Denali that ran amazing. I brought it in for service, front struts, battery, new radiator, some other stuff. The dealership failed to reconnect the transmission fluid return line properly to the radiator and it blew while my wife was...
A new update. I was able to finally get an appointment scheduled with Foundation Cadillac for Jan 4. There doesn't seem to be any urgency, but I guess I am getting in.
The thing about this, I can't shake that this is not an exhaust leak (I would imagine that would be highly unlikely on new car)...
LOL you should look up my post where my Yukon Denali 2021 stranded me 4 times and I had to lemon the truck. This is just another incident in a long line of incidents :)
Wait…I thought they told me that you had to take it to Cadillac only because regular gm service is not certified to work on them. Is that BS? I have a faulty l left rear taillight that goes in and out. I have to tap it to turn it on. I would love to get that fixed too
