    Premature tire wear

    I actually switched to the Pirelli's at 2,000 miles. I was able to sell the factory tires for a little more than what discount offered me. I have put 19,700 miles on those Pirelli's and they're already down to 5/32. I am going to put the Defenders on in a couple months.

    Ask the dealer some direct questions about lifter failures in those motors and what GM has done to fix the issues.

    Got it back today. They replaced the lifters on that side of the engine, couldn't get approval to replace the other side. They are working on extending the warranty. Really great dealership, I am just so annoyed with GM and their suppliers. GM needs to do a recall and replace all lifters...

    You need to read the link I sent and do some more learning. I am not going to argue this. DFM is not new to the 2021 model year, it was first introduced to the pickups in 2019, and then the SUV's in 2020. The lifter issues were supposedly determined to be in the July 2020 - October 2020 window.

    The service director has ordered the complete set of lifters, and he's working on approval to replace them all. If he isn't able to get that approval, then I intend to escalate the issue.

    I just got my oil changed at 722 miles. Then I got the 5000 mile oil change at 4870 miles before we went on this trip where our lifters failed. I checked the oil before the oil change, and it looked clean like honey on the dip stick. Mobil 1 extended performance with regular wix filter...

    Agreed. I am sitting in a hotel room 144 miles away from home because my engine started to shake and knock like crazy on the highway. Fun times.
