Had the dreaded hinge break on my back hatch glass a while back. Haven't been able to use it. Been going to replace it but never got around to it. But with the rains lately it seemed like it was leaking water in more than it has been. Went to the PicknPull nearby here. Picked up a Hatch glass...
Finally got a used RKE Module from the junk yard this weekend ($8- they are $40 to $75 on Ebay when you can find one that is the correct number). Just put it in and key' fob works now. My second key fob doesn't work but I assume its the battery or the buttons. I'll mess with that one and get it...
I'm assuming mine is the module. I have new batteries in my fob and still does the same. I can hold the fobs by the windshield and they work. The module is discontinued so I will see about getting a used one to see if it works. It looks like this has probably happened before on my Yukon because...
I have a2002 Yukon. I've been messing with my key fob working off and on for the last year or so. It would randomly work but not very often. I would try it at different times just to see if they would work. 99.9% of the time they did not work. I have not gone to a lock smith yet for the issue. I...
I've had this '02 Yukon for 4 years now. Use it mainly to haul my 3 Great Danes in. Time to change it up a little.
I thought about doing the Denali front end but want something a little different. So I painted the grill and the bumper so far. Sanded and primed the grill. then used the...
Same thing with my '02 Yukon. I saw that about the fuse on one of he Facebook pages. Changed the fuse and my OBD port works now. Never would have known.
My Yukon ABS and Brake light come on sometimes. Does it randomly. I was told to clean the grounds like MassHoe04 said just haven't got around to doing it. Going to do that this weekend.
I've been trying to get my key fobs to work on my Yukon. I have a 2002 Yukon that I got one key fob with it when I bought it a few years ago. Worked fine. Bought a second key fob a year later and programed it and it worked fine.
In the last 6 months or so both fobs got to where they would work...
I have 305/45-22"s on my Yukon. I will get a little bit of the death wobble on acceleration sometimes. Truck shakes and steering wheel goes back and forth. I've rebuilt most of my front end but still get it every once in a while. If it happens its on uneven roads. I can usually can let off the...
He bought the car when he was 15 in high school for $600 off Ebay (his first car). Found the louvers a year after that. He is 30 now and still owns it.
Sorry for getting off topic.
I painted my sons Camaro in the back yard about 8 or 9 years ago when I lived in FL. Did get a little trash and bugs in it. Still looks good from 20 ft. Put a LS with a cam and T56 in it a couple of years ago.
Yea I have the equipment. My back ground is in the paint field before I retired. We just moved into a neighborhood from a 200 acre place. Probably get back out there in the next month or so and might do it there.
They are the same. Easy to do. Just unbolt the old one bolt the new one on. Easier with 2 people. I did mine myself, used a pole to hold it up in the front until I got the bolts started.
Thanks, I'll look for it. We did live between Athens and Augusta in the middle of nowhere. We just moved to the West side of Athens near Winder, GA. The yard (Givens)I went to for the hood was in Dacula. They have quite a few Tahoe's and Yukons.
My Yukon has the dreaded faded bad paint on the roof and hood. Didn't start fading until this past year. I'm always looking online for parts even when I don't need them. We moved to Georgia recently so I've been looking around at the new to me junk yards. Want to get a HD hood eventually but...
