It was alil dented, the crack wasn’t visible, only could see it leak when hot and under load, not idling. It was like a hairline crack, I barely saw it- dwmmatt23

He showed me the filter, i could have easily kicked something up and dented it, but it was dented a few places and the crease at on of the dents caused a crack, that only leaked at highway temps and under pressure. Craziest thing I’ve ever seen. I literally owned it for one day prior to this- dwmmatt23

Got a call from mechanic, after hours of cleaning oil off everything, topping off and running on rack he check oil cooler lines and replaced gasket, was able to drive it and put a load on it and came back to find the oil filter being the culprit. Looked like the previous owner mangled it and oil...- dwmmatt23

Not yet, it’s at shop and that’s what they told me they could find. I reiterated to them it came on sudden and lost a lot quick, not just seeping amount. They are going to clean more and look into it further. There is literally oil everywhere underneath it- dwmmatt23

I purchased another Tahoe, 2003 LT 4wd 5.3, took and smogged it and no noticeable leaks at all. Please help...2001 Tahoe Fuel Pump Issues?
Ever get it figured out? mine did the exact same to me fri, im 99% sure its the pump, gonna pressure test tonight and if it is no pressure dropping tank tomorrow. Anybody know where to check the pump ground?- dwmmatt23

So just a quick update, I was washing my hoe and did ice liquid clay bar before waxing, I said what the hell and tried it on my yellowed turn signals. Wow made a big difference, weren't as hazed yellow looking and look clear again, not perfect so I'm going to pull them off truck and hit them... -

smaller tires on key and spacer lift
runnin like that on factory rims/tires is gonna look unfinished and goofy depending on how much you crank the front up, ive seen some on after market wheels with smaller tires that has the illusion of filling out better. Id say run it like is and do them at the same time when funds are available- dwmmatt23

Thats exactly how mine look right now, ive buffed and sanded and cleaned all kinds of headlights to like new again but none of that has worked on these. Im going to have to see if I can get to the inside and try cleaning or Im just going to have to pick up a new set. The dingy yellowish color... -
Oil going somewhere?
Ive had my light come on before and it does seem to burn @ quart between oil changes. I went crazy on this thing last year and replaced almost everything trying to get my mileage back up from 10mpg, I know everything is pretty new but it does burn some and there is no visible signs of it going...- dwmmatt23
