    Thanks for this thread. My 2008 Tahoe 5.3 Flex with 145k miles threw up the P0449 code and replacing the canister vent valve finally fixed it.

    It's a whole housing and the only bulb that is separate is the reverse light bulb. It's all plug and play. I was thinking it could be the brake switch but wouldn't all the brake lights not work if it was a faulty brake switch? The LEDs still work because the turn signal works and the tail lights...

    It's a whole LED housing but yeah, turn signal works and the LEDs are lit up when I turn the lights on, they just don't get brighter when I press the brake pedal and it's only the passenger side.

    I replaced my tail lights with LEDs years ago. The tail light works and so does the turn signal, it's only when I press the brake pedal it no longer lights up. I checked all related fuses and they're all good. Any ideas what else I should be checking?

    Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. The sounds was coming from the alternator going bad, replaced that and also the A/C belt behind it since it was dry and cracking.

    For the brown harness that came with the GM5, I plugged the backup cam RCA to the dedicated backup cam RCA of the 4200nex but where do I plug the sub out and center RCA's from the harness on the 4200nex?

    I had the Duelers on my stock 20's, Yokohama Parada Spec-X and now the Mich Defenders. I bought the Defenders for when I drive up to Tahoe to go snowboarding and they ride good. Very comfortable ride and the tread is thick, even for a 285/45 22.

    I figured it out. The blue wire for the backup camera module under the passenger seat needed to be reconnected.     Yeah, i have the maestro GM5 and AVGM5, there's a brown harness with yellow rca for backup camera in, white rca for sub out and red rca for center out. I plugged the harness to the last stock brown harness and plugged the backup camera in on the back of the 4200 in the backup camer input.

    Why does Crutchfield say the 4200NEX does not fit? I have an 08 with Bose with Navi and I guess they do not recommend using one that has a folding down face.

    I've had my 08 Tahoe for 8 years now and I'm kind of getting bored with it, I want something more fun to drive. The thought of selling it has crossed my mind but I feel like I'll regret it. Has anyone here ever sold your SUV and regretted it down the line?
