2001 Yukon instrument cluster is intermittent

Hi guys, I have a weird issue. When I get in the truck in the morning, the Gauges all work. When I drive out the driveway, as soon as I hit a bump, they all flicker and act like the ignition was turned off and then back on. After doing that a few times, they stay off. Next morning, same thing...

    Heater stopped working

I have no heat at the front of my 2001 Yukon but the rear has plenty. I replaced the diverter motor twice and that did nothing. Is there a control valve for the front that is separate from the rear? TIA Geoff The A/C works fine.

    Clunk in the steering

My '01 Yukon has a slight clunk at low speeds in the steering column. Something is definitely loose. I have had 2 separate shops look at it and they claim all the front suspension is tight. Is this something anyone has run across? The manager at the second place claimed he had the same...

    front wheel bearings

I replaced the stock wheel bearings with 90k miles on them and got 5k out of the new ones before they started rattling them again. I am willing to spend some $$ to get good ones but don't know what to get. I don't want to have to change them every 20k miles. TIA Geoff

    Looseness in steering

Hi guys, My '01 Yukon w/89k flunked PA inspection due to slop in the steering. On the lift when the tech wiggled the wheel, the tie rod went in and out of the dust boot about 1/4" with no corresponding movement of the steering wheel. I have not done anything to this truck yet, so I am...

    Piston slap

My '01 Yukon sounds worse than a diesel for the 2 minutes after startup in the morning, then quiets down nicely. She only has 81k documented miles and I purchased a powertrain warranty when I bought her. It sounds like the worst case of valve clatter you've ever heard, yet not really. It does...

    '01 Yukon blower motor resistor

I did a search of the Tech Forum and came up empty. Is there a decent DIY for replacing the resistor on my 2001 Yukon? I know it's near the blower motor, but how do I access it? Thanks Geoff
